ChinchillaWorld Home

If you look at the menu bar you will see our three main areas which are entitled FORUM, CHINCHILLAS and SITE. In the forum area you can navigate through to our forum which uses the latest versions of Invision Power Board together with our custom made skin (currently in production) to help complete the matching layouts from our main pages into our forum. You can also view our management, coordinators and support staff using the forum team button. The forum adverts link will take you to a page which shows the latest adverts for chinchillas and their accessories which are contained within our forum.

By looking at the links in our chinchilla section we hope you find all the basic information that you require on looking after chinchillas but if you have a question but cant find the answer then why not join our Forum and post then lots of different people may reply and you can get the benefit from peoples years of experience.

We have a very good up and coming Forum where people from all over the world can have a chat, ask questions and learn new things. This is good for newer chinchilla owners as well as the more experienced breeder who can help others to gain good results with their chinchillas.

We run a monthly competition (via the forum) where anyone can enter as long as you are a member of the site. There is a small prize which is sent to the winner (UK members only) and shortly there will be available a small graphic which as the winner you can place onto your own website. You can also see the latest competition winners by clicking on the Competition Winners link and select which months graphic you would like to see.

As part of the caring for chinchillas it is important to know when you are likely to expect babies to be born so you can remove anything from the cages that you don't want in there when the kits are born. There is a Gestation Calculator on this site to help work out the date when from mating the kits will most likely be due - this is 111 days from the date of mating and is generally very accurate.

Above all chinchillas are beautiful creatures and if they are looked after properly then they can live long and healthy lives. With this in mind please take time to look around our site and hopefully we can answer most your questions.

Thank you for visiting us here and we hope to see you soon chatting away on the forums.
