Provide fresh food
Provide fresh water
Provide fresh hay
Give chins access to a sandbath for 10-15 minutes
Brush down shelves to remove any dirt
If using newspaper change this as well
Make sure that the chins teeth (for an adult these should be yellowish) and general health is fine

Weekly

Daily routines as well as
If using wood shavings change this either weekly or twice weekly
Spray down shelves and cage to ensure they remain free of bacteria

Monthly

Daily and weekly routines plus
Thoroughly scrub the cage to keep it clean Please note that this list is not a complete run down and other things need to be carried out as well.
