what types of Chinchillas is there?

whats.. Lanigera and Brevicaulda and Costina?

Th three typos you mentioned are all sub species of chincihlla and all have slughtly differnt shapes- the brevi influence ones are the more teddy bear cuddly lookingones with short round bodiesand flat heads, the costina are the long and think if i remember correctly.

They do all interbreed tho so the shapes have been blended into each other - i have been told that the brevi shaed ones are slower breeders generally.

The US seems ot worry most about the shape of the chin and what lines it is bred out of than the UK
